English 312 Advanced Writing for Business
Advanced Business Writing is a specialized composition course designed primarily to teach future business managers, economists, accountants, or marketing specialists the principles of writing they will be expected to generate in their future professional work. Secondarily, the course is designed to assist students in acquiring the skills needed to write effective reports, examinations, term papers, and documents at the university.

Case Study. Students examine ethical behavior and leadership skills for a compromising situation. Students create a narrative and exhibits based on the situation. Students fulfill the complete case study by writing a case narrative, case analysis, case analysis assessment, and a case study response.

Leadership Journal Prompts. Students create a journal exploring their own authentic leadership experiences. Promotional Literature Portfolio. Students create from their business plan a promotional portoflio for their business plan to include a press release, brochure, and newsletter. |
Business Plan. Students create a business plan for a mock business. The business plan includes the following sections: General Business, Marketing and Operations, Management, and Financials.

Spori Business Review
Student editorial boards generate an online magazine through a student editorial board that will use a call for articles, peer review the articles, and design/layout the articles for class publication. Each student will be a member of an editorial board and write and submit two articles for publication Spori Business Review Website link This Spori Business Review website provides students with resources to develop their business journals and articles.
