Aims and Options
It was in Basic Writing that I began to develop materials that would lead to my writing a textbook that became Aims and Options. The focus was on the basic writing student who struggles with writing confidence. As I developed the lessons and chapters for the book, I envisioned my own students who became my audience. If I couldn't figure out a way to write a concept, I would think of a specific student and write to that one individual. My students in a very real sense became the inspiration for the textbook. |
